QFT Markdown is an independent workspace for writing, previewing, and exporting Markdown with mathematics. Built for a quick calculation, a careful derivation, or the note you want to come back to.
Your words stay with you
The editor processes your Markdown in your browser. Drafts are stored locally with IndexedDB; there are no accounts, server copies of your documents, or automatic synchronization between devices. Preferences are also stored in this browser.
Browser storage is convenient, but it is not a backup. Clearing site data, private browsing, or a browser’s storage cleanup can remove drafts. Download important work as Markdown and keep that file somewhere you trust.
The small details matter
The editor, mathematical fonts, and interface fonts are served with the site. Writing and previewing a document does not send its source to a rendering service. The site host still receives ordinary requests needed to load the website.
External links connect to another website when you follow them. Remote images are disabled by default; enabling them in Settings lets the browser request those images from their hosts. Those hosts can then receive normal connection information such as your IP address. Embedded raster images do not need a separate image host.
Raw HTML is shown as text, and the preview does not execute scripts from documents. Local saving does not promise that the website itself will load offline; keep exported files for access independent of this site.
Take your work with you
A typeset document
HTML export includes its document styles and mathematical fonts. Print / PDF uses your browser’s print dialog. Remote images in an HTML export must be embedded successfully for a fully portable copy.
Built on good foundations
Astro provides the website, CodeMirror powers the editor, markdown-it parses the text, and KaTeX typesets the mathematics.

QFT Markdown is available under the MIT license. You can use, modify, rebrand, and host your own copy, including for commercial use. Keep the copyright and permission notice with copies of the software. The included libraries and fonts retain their own licenses.
Your notes belong to you. Using this editor does not place your documents under the software’s license.
